If you get a PayPal error like “Things don’t appear to be working at the moment. Please try again later.” then there could be several reasons. Look into your browser URL and check the ?flowlogging_id=c66110b7f8d55&code=EWP_SETTINGS
The “code” part is the one you can google for. If you get for example EWP_SETTINGS error it could be that your site is not running on https.
Solution
You need a valid SSL certificate OR unblock unencrypted payments. To unblock them do this:
- Log in to your PayPal account.
- Click the Business Profile icon beside “Log Out” and select Profile and settings.
- Click My Selling tools.
- Click Update near ‘Website preferences.’
- Select ‘Off’ next to ‘Block Non-encrypted Website Payment
